Haan, Kil-soo

He came to Hawaii at age five with parents. He studied at Syngman Rhee’s Korean Central School at age fifteen. He warned the attack of the Pearl Harbor eight times that has drawn wide attention from the American media. He became a Korean independence patriot. However, due to the allegation that he was a double agent for Japan during WWII, his bestowal of the Korean independence award was withheld in 2005.
